In Traditional Chinese medicine, Myrrh is called Mo Yao and has been used to reduce Blood or Qi stagnation and often combined with Frankincense. In Western herbalism, it has been traditionally used as an emmenagogue, disinfectant, or carminatavive. It is also very commonly used as an incense, and is thought to have calming effects when burned.*
