Comfrey Leaf

Comfrey Leaf/Root - Symphytum officinale  

In Traditional Chinese medicine, comfrey leaf is often used to treat Lung Yin conditions. It has expectorant, vulnerary, and astringent properties. It has a cooling action and a bitter-sweet taste. It can be applied externally to assist the healing of sores, broken bones, and ease muscles. Both comfrey root and leaves contain allantoin, which is a substance that may produce new skin cells.*
