1 oz.
Calendula, commonly known as pot marigold, can be used both topically and internally. It is also considered to have carminative, emmenagogue, and diaphoretic properties. It may be ingested by drying the leaves and flowers of the plant and using it in a tea. Calendula has a neutral, spicy, bitter taste. Traditionally, this herb is ingested as a tea because it may help regulate the menstrual cycle, induce sweating to kill fever, and soothe stomach aches.
