Boneset is native to North America. It has astringent, diaphoretic, nervine, expectorant, and febrifuge properties, accompanied by a neutral, bitter, slightly acrid taste. It can be used for detoxifying the body and cleansing the skin, and as a bitter tonic. This herb is traditionally implemented in cases of influenza, as it may provide relief from fever, chills, sore throat, and other flu-like symptoms.*
